I went to catch the Avril Lavigne's Best Damn Dance Competition at Cathay Cineleisure with Tun just now and the almost all the dance crews' performance were freaking AWESOME!! Their coordination, choreography and styles, fused with their fashion sense were great! The winners of the competition would get to be the opening act for Avril Lavigne's concert next Sun(7th Sept), get to hang out with Avril backstage after the concert and they would walk away with a Nokia 5220 EACH! And guess who won??

STYLES FROM BEYOND! That's right! They won the competition! Congrats guys!!

After viewing each of the performances, I was sorely tempted to start dancing once again but the only problem is, I'm about to sit for my Os soon while my close friend is about to sit for her Ns next week...But nvm..We only have to endure just 1 or 2 more months before we can pursue our passion and start dancing again! Can't wait for that day to come!!

Sorry I haven't been updating my blog over the past few days.. Anyway, here's what happened over the past 3 days...

For starters, last Wednesday, all the sec 5s were happily practicing for our dance routine in the 501 classroom which we THOUGHT we were going to perform for the Teacher's Day concert..We were choreographing dance steps on the go and we were practicing and rehearsing for 6 whole hours and towards the end of the session, we were all exhausted but happy as we had managed to choreograph half the routine and we were also able to catch the dance steps..Until Ms Santha had to gatecrash our practice session and started reprimanding us for making a lot of noise..To make matters worse, she even smelt the stench of cigarette smoke in the class(as we had just finished smoking) and immediately barred us from performing for the Teacher's Day Concert! She stated that residents had made a lot of complains against us..Fuck those M.F residents!! Got no fucking life of their own, always like to pry their noses into other people's matters!

Her reasons were this:
1. Residents complained that we were HUGGING in the class! (WTF! We were not even doing that and besides, who on earth wants to do that in a CLASS??)
2. Residents complained that the guys were half-naked(topless to be exact as we were hot and sweaty after rehearsing)
3. Teachers had made a lot of complains against the sec 5 batch previously

The next day, we decided to approach Mdm Rozi and ask her for her permission and after hearing us out, she agreed to give us 1 chance and 1 chance only to audition in the hall at around 3.30..Those of us who were present immediately scrambled together for a last-minute practice session before heading to the hall..Ultimately, after the audition, Mdm Rozi pulled me aside and told me that we were disorganised and that, we were NOT gonna perform for the teachers during the concert..We were all dissappointed..

However, Hawa came up with an ingenious plan to perform AFTER the concert and school was over..In that manner, we were not breaking any school rules and we were also not gonna gate- crash any event..We met up at night for a couple of rounds of practice and we even managed to add in new elements and dance-steps..

Before I go on, I gotta thank Syahrir..He was the one who actually got us really organised and structured us and even helped us to choreograph new dance steps so as to make our performance more enjoyable and entertaining! I gotta give credits to him for helping us out so thanks Ray!!

On the actual day(Friday), all the sec 5s were looking forward to the 'mini-concert' after school was over and we even brought along our dance costumes..Word that we were gonna stage a mini-concert after school sp[read like wildfire among the teachers and East-Viewans alike. Sadly however, Mr Goh found out about last Wednesday's incident and although he was all up for it INITIALLY and that, he and the other teachers appreciated our hard work and dedication, he was not going to allow us to perform..

We were really dissappointed but we realised that we were the ones at fault and that, we just had to suffer the consequences and accept it as a form of punishment..

In the end, Faris and Nabeel simply made a speech on stage at the end of the concert, apologising to all the teachers for all the trouble we had caused..It moved all the Se5 5 students to tears and by the end of the speech, we all broke down and cried..

On the bright side, it actually bonded the Sec 5 cohort together as one..Its a lesson learnt for all of us..

Hello ppl!! Guess what? Today's the last day of the Prelims! We can finally go on a short break..Well..Until tomorrow, that is, cuz tomorrow's our practical exams...Anyway, who cares right? That's 1 major hurdle removed, after which, we're left with only 1 more HUGE obstacle, being the O Levels..

Hmm...I just found out last night that we'll be having a teacher's day celebrations in our class this coming Friday..We're ordering 14 boxes of Canadian Pizza!! That's right! I said it! 14! That's a freaking lot right?? But almost everyone in my class loves pizza so we'll be having a rolling good time!! Haha!

Here's another piece of good news I heard..My bro, whom I haven't seen for like God knows how many months, will be coming down to my school this Friday as well!! I miss that jackass! I'm so freaking excited!

Oh yeah..Before I forget, I might be clubbing at Butter Factory with my clubbing pals this coming Saturday but sadly, it's yet to be confirmed cuz there's an invitation list of 8 per group or something like that and according to 1 of my pals, 6 peeps are up for it while the remaining 2 peeps haven't confirmed yet..So there's still hope cuz I FUCKING MISS CLUBBING! Hahaha!

Yeah2..I know..The fasting month's just around the corner, being next week and all that..But I would just take it as I'm going all out and enjoying myself and living my life to the fullest before I settle down for the fasting month and my O Levels..Sheesh..The 'O Levels' phrase is enough to drive me up the wall! I can't wait for it to be finally over...

Anyway, today marks the last day of our Combined Humanities paper, which was Geography..It was total bullshit yaw! I could have sworn I did the map-reading quetions for my Mid-Year paper and guess what?? I wrote the same FUCKING WRONG answers AGAIN for my Geog prelim's map-reading questions although I've already done the paper before! Sheesh..

Haish..We're gonna have to find a new chill-out place I guess...Seeing as what happened last Friday...No worries though..I'm pretty sure that we'll manage..

Oh and last but not least, before I forget.. To my close pals (I don't have to mention names cuz I'm pretty sure you know who you are), I love you guys!! Thanks a million for everything yaw! Really appreciate it! :)

Just 3 more papers to go, all of which are the same subject before I'm free..From the prelims!! Haha!

Today marks the third day of my O Level Prelim Exams...

The Maths Paper 2 went horribly wrong..At i least I thought it did..Cuz the 1st 3 questions were kinda giveaway ones that could generously award you the marks without any qualms or hesitations...

From queston 4 onwards(which I totally skipped cuz it was on Vectors,something which I've never been quite able to grasp on till now!), the difficulty started rising shy-high...

Fuck that teacher who set that paper and CLAIMED that it was easy! Wait..Hang on a sec..It was my OWN maths teacher! Sheesh...Easy for HIM to say cuz he's a maths teacher and he set the questions and he has ALL the answers!

On the bright side, 2 subjects down and 2 more to go.. :)

Today marks the second day of the O Level prelims and I sat for my maths Paper 1 today...

The first few questions were manageable(I dare not use the word "E-A-S-Y" for fear of failing the paper as it always happens).. As usual, I left a couple of questons blank but hey! At least its a vast improvement as compared to last year when I would leave like ALMOST the entire paper blank.

Im just hoping that I can get at least a B4 for my Maths Prelim paper...Now, I gotta sit my ass down quietly and wait for 3 more freaking hours before I am able to sit for my English O Level Oral later on at 2.30...

This is my first time blogging after a really long time...Haha..I'm still kinda new to this sorta thing cuz everything has changed...

Anyway, today was the 1st day of our Prelims..We had our Eng Paper 1 today and it was mediocre..Letter writing was ok but I completely screwed up my essay! I think I either wrote out of context or I elaborated more on the second part of the essay but not on the first part...

Hopefully I can get an A1 or an A2 for my Eng prelim paper..Still left with 8 more days of exams!!
